IS 70-200mm f/2.8 L
i rented a 200mm f/2.8 prime and was sold, and at $750, the price was awesome for a second generation L series canon lens....because on my 18-200mm nikkor, i use the 200mm length a lot. when i went to buy it....i had this sudden panic attack that i should get the 70-200mm IS f/2.8 L instead, because being able to zoom out would be useful....but it's turned my camera into a five pound tank with a look-at-me-white gun barrel....and it's so-incredibly-heavy. i've got biceps, but i need forearm muscles apparently. we'll see how i fare with it this weekend.

oh, so that's the one! chris is going crazy over zoom lenses. he wants this big one that is $1500 at ritz. they said it's heavier than the camera itself... i could never use it!
